Los narcotraficantes abandonan 1.200 kilos de cocaína para huir en Huelva

Las cámaras de vigilancia de la Guardia Civil que resguardan las costas de Huelva han demostrado ser fundamentales, una vez más, para impedir la llegada de un considerable alijo de cocaína a los mercados ilegales. La información previa sobre la descarga de una narcolancha a una furgoneta permitió al Instituto Armado establecer un operativo que facilitó la localización de la sustancia, aunque no se logró la detención de sus poseedores.
El operativo dio inicio en las proximidades de la desembocadura del río Tinto en dirección a la ría de Punta Umbría, que es uno de los lugares más utilizados por los narcotraficantes en la referida provincia onubense. La Guardia Civil llevó a cabo un extenso despliegue tanto marítimo como terrestre. En el agua no se logró interceptar la lancha, pero se pudieron identificar los vehículos que esperaban la mercancía, la cual ya había sido descargada.
Fue en el municipio de Huelva capital donde los efectivos del Instituto Armado lograron acorralar a dos vehículos, una furgoneta y un turismo. Los sospechosos, al percatarse de que no poseían ninguna forma de salvar la valiosa mercancía que transportaban, decidieron abandonar el alijo, que consistía en 34 grandes fardos de arpillera, y escapar a la carrera.
Esta maniobra les permitió eludir, al menos en un primer momento -el incidente ocurrió en la madrugada de este jueves- la captura, pero no les sirvió para proteger la droga, que ascendía a aproximadamente 1.200 kilos y que fue intervenida por la Guardia Civil.
Los agentes implementaron en ese instante un robusto dispositivo para garantizar la seguridad de la furgoneta con la droga confiscada hasta su traslado a dependencias oficiales, utilizando armamento de gran calibre, todo ello en función de la actual situación de riesgo y del tipo de armamento que emplean los traficantes en España.

The surveillance cameras of the Civil Guard guarding the coasts of Huelva have once again proven to be essential in preventing the arrival of a considerable shipment of cocaine to illegal markets. Prior information about the unloading of a drug boat to a van allowed the Armed Institute to establish an operation that facilitated the location of the substance, although the arrest of its holders was not achieved.
The operation began near the mouth of the Tinto River heading towards the estuary of Punta Umbría, which is one of the most commonly used locations by drug traffickers in the aforementioned province of Huelva. The Civil Guard carried out an extensive deployment both at sea and on land. While the boat could not be intercepted in the water, the vehicles waiting for the merchandise, which had already been unloaded, were identified.
It was in the municipality of Huelva capital where the forces of the Armed Institute managed to corner two vehicles, a van and a car. The suspects, realizing that they had no way to save the valuable cargo they were transporting, decided to abandon the shipment, which consisted of 34 large burlap bales, and flee on foot.
This maneuver allowed them to evade capture, at least for the moment—the incident occurred in the early hours of this Thursday—but it did not protect the drugs, which amounted to approximately 1,200 kilos and were seized by the Civil Guard.
The agents immediately implemented a robust operation to ensure the safety of the van with the confiscated drugs until its transfer to official facilities, using high-caliber weaponry, all based on the current risk situation and the type of weaponry employed by traffickers in Spain.
