Efectivos del Comando Provincial de la Guardia di Finanza de Sassari, en la isla de Cerdeña, han desmantelado una instalación logística dedicada a la falsificación de marcas de prestigio en el municipio de Olbia. La operación policial resultó en la incautación de más de 1.300 relojes falsificados y la detención del responsable, lo que representa un nuevo golpe a la delincuencia económica, evocando la reciente investigación sobre la red de La Camorra que manejó cientos de miles de euros falsos e implicó conexiones internacionales en Italia, Alemania y España.
Las pesquisas en Cerdeña, dirigidas por los miembros del Grupo Olbia, permitieron localizar un punto clandestino escondido en el interior de un inmueble residencial en el centro de la ciudad. Durante el registro de las instalaciones, las autoridades encontraron más de mil piezas de alta relojería ocultas en numerosos envases de tinte y pintura, con el propósito de eludir su detección durante posibles inspecciones.
El catálogo confiscado estaba constituido por reproducciones de alta precisión que replicaban al detalle los modelos más deseados de marcas exclusivas como Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet (AP), Bulgari, Omega, Hublot, Panerai, Cartier y Swatch.
Los productos no solo se diferenciaban por la calidad de sus acabados, sino que además se distribuían acompañados de envoltorios elegantes, tarjetas de garantía, certificados de autenticidad y bolsas comerciales con logotipos clonados.
La operación culminó con la incautación de todo el material y la imputación del portador de la mercancía, un ciudadano italiano de 45 años que no pudo justificar el origen legal de las piezas. Este individuo ha sido remitido a la Fiscalía de Tempio Pausania, donde se le investiga por delitos de receptación, introducción en el país y comercialización de productos con marcas falsificadas.

Members of the Provincial Command of the Guardia di Finanza of Sassari, on the island of Sardinia, have dismantled a logistics facility dedicated to the counterfeiting of prestigious brands in the municipality of Olbia. The police operation resulted in the seizure of more than 1,300 counterfeit watches and the arrest of the person responsible, marking a new blow to economic crime, evoking the recent investigation into the La Camorra network that handled hundreds of thousands of euros in counterfeit money and involved international connections in Italy, Germany, and Spain.
The investigations in Sardinia, led by members of the Olbia Group, allowed for the location of a clandestine point hidden inside a residential building in the city center. During the search of the facilities, authorities found over a thousand high-end watch pieces concealed in numerous dye and paint containers, with the purpose of evading detection during possible inspections.
The confiscated catalog consisted of high-precision reproductions that meticulously replicated the most desired models of exclusive brands such as Rolex, Patek Philippe, Audemars Piguet (AP), Bulgari, Omega, Hublot, Panerai, Cartier, and Swatch.
The products not only differed in the quality of their finishes but were also distributed accompanied by elegant packaging, warranty cards, certificates of authenticity, and shopping bags with cloned logos.
The operation culminated in the seizure of all the material and the indictment of the bearer of the merchandise, a 45-year-old Italian citizen who could not justify the legal origin of the pieces. This individual has been referred to the Tempio Pausania Prosecutor's Office, where he is being investigated for offenses of receiving stolen goods, importation into the country, and marketing of products with counterfeit brands.
