Three kilograms of cocaine. Eighteen of hashish. More than 15,000 euros in cash. Two firearms and seven vehicles, some of them high-end. This is the outcome of the operation carried out by the Civil Guard against an organization that is allegedly engaged in drug trafficking between the provinces of León and Asturias, territories that have historically been interconnected and affected by criminal networks operating in both areas.
The operation has been led by the Edoa of the León Command, resulting in the arrest of seven individuals, including the main leaders of the organization, as well as the dismantling of two drug sales points in Villaquilambre and Mieres.
The operation enabled the removal from the market of a significant amount of cocaine and hashish, in addition to the seizure of cash, firearms, and a fleet of vehicles that, according to investigations, would be linked to the activities of the organization.
The intervention reached the highest levels of the structure. The two most relevant individuals have been provisionally imprisoned by judicial order, while investigators continue to work on various lines of inquiry to determine the total magnitude of the organization. The operation remains active, and further arrests are not ruled out.
The police effort directly impacts a network that had transformed parts of León and Asturias into distribution areas for cocaine and hashish.
