Operation Trampolín: spectacular police operation to remove the settlement of immigrants.

The Trampolín has become the most well-known settlement of immigrants in all of Spain. Its name has dominated the journalistic chronicles from Ceuta during these two months of crisis. The National Police decided that this Sunday, October 4, this had to come to an end.

Early this morning, practically bidding farewell to dawn, agents from the UIP arriving from various points in Spain, such as Seville, Granada, or Málaga, launched the so-called Operation Trampolín, aimed at removing all the tents of immigrants and the settlement that has caused the most insecurity and tension during this time.

The waters of the Trampolín are contaminated, it is impossible to guarantee safety, and there is a clear health risk. This, combined with the rising incidents, has triggered an operation supported by the UPR and information agents from Ceuta and beyond.

The scene was spectacular, reflecting a carefully planned operation to ensure everything went smoothly, measuring every detail, and avoiding incidents.

For this reason, there was a notable reinforcement of agents tasked with closing all access to the Trampolín to prevent escapes into the mountains or confrontations.

Agents in large numbers, but also resources that had never been seen in Ceuta, such as vehicles that arrived from the Peninsula this very week, adapted to risk situations like the one that could be experienced today.

For now, there are spaces to accommodate immigrants in Loma Colmenar, more than a thousand, and at the port.

The operation works as follows: immigrants must be registered before their arrival at the encampment.

Arrivals first occur at the CATE. It is here that many of the displaced from Benítez wanted to return to their country this week.

The Local Police has announced that, starting around seven-thirty, there will be traffic cuts on the roads from Benítez to Benzú.

Almost at 8 this morning, the deployment at the Trampolín began after the agents were activated at seven.

All units arrived in a convoy at this point where immigrants were living their own lives, unaware of what was to come.

Music, street vendors, some just waking up, others smoking… that was the atmosphere before the actual police landing.

The first to arrive was a van from the National Police, shortly after seven-thirty. All the others would follow.

The story begins to be written again, marking the end of the Trampolín, with a device that was not hidden at all. All media outlets had already positioned themselves in the area even before the arrival of the Police.

With the road now closed, and the implementation of an encirclement to prevent disturbances, this large-scale operation was set in motion, the third in just weeks, after the two initial ones in Benítez.

Moments before the police action, nervousness was palpable among the immigrants, some even chose to run into the mountains.

Control on the ground, but also from the air with a drone. This device had everything, meticulously searching every detail.

While the agents coordinated the evacuation, an interpreter was informing the immigrants in Arabic where they would be taken.

The units of the National Police went tent by tent informing the immigrants that they had to leave while removing the tents. In the midst of the operation, around 8:30, it began to rain.

The National Police has agreed today to proceed with the removal of the settlement on Trampolín beach only in a first phase.

The operation involves a significant deployment of human and material resources.

The immigrants will be transported by bus to the CATE, where they will undergo the corresponding triage.

Among the immigrants who are part of this first phase of relocation, there are women and children, but the majority are men.

With the help of an interpreter, they try to keep them calm while their tents are being removed.

This Sunday marks the beginning of the end for this settlement that is destined to disappear.

The UIP and UPR units are joined by the immigration units, who are witnesses to a situation that overwhelms everyone.

It is incredible the number of people that were and continue to be in the Trampolín.
